Tamron Co. has stated that it will renew its SP series interchangeable lens line. The first two lenses that have been announced are the SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USO and SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD for 35mm full-frame D-SLR cameras. Panasonic announces 57% rise in net profit
Panasonic Corp. has stated that its net profit for Q1 of fiscal 2015 escalated by 57% to 59.8 billion yen on sales of 1,857 billion yen. The profit in operation fell by 7% to 76.5 billion yen. Sony reports profit for Q1
Sony announced its sales for Q1, which were 1,808 billion yen—a 0.1% year-on-year decline. The profit in operation increased by 38.8% to 96.9 billion yen. The net profit increased three fold to 82.4 billion yen from 26.8 billion yen, a year earlier.
