Sony announced its sales for Q1, which were 1,808 billion yen—a 0.1% year-on-year decline. The profit in operation increased by 38.8% to 96.9 billion yen. The net profit increased three fold to 82.4 billion yen from 26.8 billion yen, a year earlier. The company has attributed its strong performance to image sensors in the device and game segment.
