Are professional photographers in the business just because it is a job like any other? I very much doubt it. Millions of hobbyists take up photography as an interest or hobby but very few succeed in producing images that are truly worth treasuring. Professional photographers emerge out of this small finite lot. It would therefore be safe to state that photographers become ‘professional’ not only because they are good at what they do but also because they love what they do.
Imagine what would happen if individuals took to photography only as a job and without a creative bent of mind. The result would be millions of pictures no one would want to see.
