Canon announced the EOS 70D, a mid-range D-SLR for photography enthusiasts. The camera comes equipped with Canon’s brand new 20.2 MP ‘Dual Pixel CMOS AF’ sensor, which allows every effective pixel to perform imaging as well as AF functions through independent dedicated photodiodes, vastly improving AF performance in Live View and Video Mode. The camera also contains the 19-point AF module rom the EOS 7D for viewfinder shooting, a fully articulated 3.0” LCD touchscreen, and builtin Wi-Fi connectivity. The EOS 70D is expected to be available from end-August for $1199 for just the body, $1349 with the EF-S 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, and $1549 with the EF-S 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens.
