Fujifilm India has launched its new X-series mirrorless camera, the X-H1, featuring a robust body and 5-axis in-body image stabilisation. The camera, which is aimed at video professionals, also features flicker reduction mode, the new Eterna film simulation mode, ideal for shooting movies.
The X-H1 will also be compatible with the MKX18-55mm T2.9 and MKX50-135mm T2.9 professional cinema lenses. These lenses are expected to be released in May 2018.
Commenting on the occasion, Haruto Iwata, Managing Director, Fujifilm India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Professional photography in India is gaining momentum and we see immense potential in this market. With X-H1 we are offering a level of imaging performance that is simply unmatched by any camera ever created.’’
The 5-axis in-body image stabilization, a first in an X-series camera, harnesses three axial accelerometers, three axial Gyro sensors, and a specially developed dual-processor. Combined, this achieves the high speed of approximately 10,000 calculations per second. A new spring mechanism ensures reduce micro-vibrations caused by operation of the mechanical shutter. The electronic front curtain shutter or the electronic shutter eliminates the effect of vibrations.
The X-H1 uses an APS-C size X-Trans CMOS III sensor with 24.30 million pixels and without low-pass filter. The sensor is supported by an X-Processor Pro high-speed image processing engine. The durable body is crafted with magnesium alloy, and is dust-resistant, water-resistant and freeze proof up -10°C. A high-quality scratch-resistant coating with a surface hardness equivalent to 8H enhances the feel.
The rear screen is a 3-direction tilt, 3-inch, 1.04 million dot electrostatic touch-panel LCD which is tiltable. A 1.28 inch sub-LCD on the top of the camera, a current feature of the medium format GFX 50S, allows for instant confirmation of shooting information.
The camera can record videos in 4K quality and includes a 1080/120P high-speed video mode for recording slow-motion footage. F-log SD card recording aids smooth workflow.
The X-H1 is priced at Rs.149,999 (body only) and Rs.172,999 with body and battery grip.
