Pentax Ricoh Imaging Company Ltd. announced that it was changing its company name to Ricoh Imaging Company Ltd., effective from 1st August, 2013. However, the company will continue to sell both Pentax and Ricoh products under the new name, continuing the company’s commitment to making Pentax a household name for D-SLRs, ILCCs and binoculars, while Ricoh remains the mainstay for the compact camera and technological innovations business. Pentax Ricoh Imaging Company was formed on October 1st, 2011, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh Company Ltd., aimed at offering more consumer-oriented products to the imaging market.
