The company first introduced its AF 28-200mm f/3.8-5.6 aspherical lens in 1992, and has added advanced technologies of Vibration Compensation (VC), ultrasonic motor PZD (Piezo Drive) and lightweight and compact configuration. In 2014, the company added the 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro for APS-C size D-SLRs, the 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD for full size D-SLRs and the 14- 150mm f/3.5-5.8 Di III for Micro Four-Thirds mirrorless cameras. The company began marketing the 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro for APS-C size D-SLRs for Sony mounts on October 30.
