Nikon has disclosed that the total production of Nikkor lenses for Nikon interchangeablelens cameras reached 70 million as on May 2012, since its first release in 1933.
The company last year added the Nikon1 advanced cameras with interchangeable lenses in the non-reflex type. The company said total production of AF-S lenses equipped with the Silent Wave Motor (SWM), the autofocus motor developed by Nikon, has reached 30 million units.
