Carl Zeiss is releasing the super wide angle 15mm Distagon T* f/2.8 lens with an EF or F bayonet for Canon and Nikon digital SLRs.
The Distagon T* 2,8/15 offers an extra-large angle of view of 110 degrees in combination with a fast f/2.8 aperture which will cater to the landscape and architectural photographers’ needs.
Expected to provide a wide range of image sharpness from close-up to infinity, the lens is composed of 15 glass elements in 12 groups, including two aspheric lenses, has a minimum focussing distance of 25cm, and uses an anti-reflective coating to reduce stray light aberrations and reflections.
The lens will be available at a retail price of €2,148 excluding taxes.
