Fujifilm disclosed the FinePix Z1000EXR featuring Wi-Fi function to work with a smartphone.
The camera features a 1/2-inch 16MP EXR CMOS sensor, 28-140mm equivalent 5X refracting zoom lens supported by mechanical (sensor shift) image stabilisation system. It also features the Premium EXR Auto programs that select best-matching scene out of 103 patterns to provide optimized settings. It will be available in the domestic Japanese market at around 29,800 yen (US$370). Simultaneously disclosed is the FinePix F770EXR, featuring 20X zoom lens from wideangle lens of 25mm equivalent. The camera is based on preceding FinePix F700EXR mounting a 15X zoom lens. It is expected to sell for around 39,800 yen (US$500) on the street.
