At a conference organized on Feb. 9th in Yokohama, Koeln Messe presented the Photokina Golden Pin to Mr. Michihiro Yamaki, Chairman and CEO of Sigma Corp.
Mr. Oliver P. Kuhrt, Vice President of Koeln Messe, praised Mr. Yamaki for his contribution to the imaging industry and long support to Photokina. Mr. Yamaki established Sigma in 1961, and has been a part of Photokina since 1972.
Mr. Yamaki thanked Mr. Kuhrt and Christian Mueller-Rieker, Executive Director of German Photographic Industry Association, for this honor. He regards Photokina to the best avenue to introduce new products in the world market.
