Canon formally announced the launch of PowerShot S100. Replacing the S95, the camera will be available in a black or silver finish.
The S100 adopts along with DIGIC 5 image processing engine, a 1/1.7-inch 12.1-MP CMOS image sensor, providing a maximum ISO of ISO6400. It also features a 28-120mm equivalent, f/2.0-5.9 zoom lens mechanical with image stabilisation system. This touch screen camera features the Touch-Live Guide which assists you in adjusting vividness, colours, and brightness of the scene.
A removable SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card stores still images in JPEG or RAW format and movie in H264 formats. A dedicated Li-ion battery pack (NB-5L) powers the camera. The camera incorporates GPS, and weighs approximately 198g.
