Nikon has announced the launch of five new Coolpix compact cameras. At the top of the range is the S6100 with a 16MP sensor, a 460K dot 3.0” LCD and 7x (28-196mm equiv.) zoom lens. The S4100 and S3100 with 14MP sensors and 5x (26-130mm equiv.) zoom lenses and 3.0” and 2.7” LCDs respectively comes in next.
The 14MP L24 is powered by AA batteries and offers a 37-134mm equiv zoom lens. All four can record 720p HD videos and offer SDXC compatibility. The new Coolpix S6100, Coolpix S3100, Coolpix S4100, and Coolpix L24 incorporate Nikon’s world-class NIKKOR lenses, delivering accurate detail and brilliant color, as well as Nikon’s EXPEED C2 digital image processing engine.
