Olympus Imaging announced the launch of 8 new cameras at an event in Mumbai recently. The variants come under Olympus’ Stylus brand. The cameras announced were:
Stylus XZ-2 This 12 megapixel camera is equipped with the world’s first hybrif control ring the f1.8-2.5 large diameter lens boasts high-quality images that rivals those of SLRs |
Stylus XZ-10 Featuring a 5x optical zoom lens that covers a focal range from 26-130mm equivalent, this 12 megapixel camera boasts an f/1.8-2.7 high speed lens. |
Stylus SZ-16 This model is equipped with a 16 megapixel and a 24x optical zoom lens from 25mm wide angle to 600mm telephoto. |
Stylus SH-50 An imaging powerhouse featuring a 16 megapixel, high-speed backside illuminated CMOS sensor, a 24x optical zoom lens from wide-angle 25mm to telephoto 600m. |
Stylus VG 165 and Stylus VG 180 The VG 180 houses a 16 megapixel CCD, and the VG 165 a 14 megapixel CCD. Both these models pack a 5x optical zoom lens in slim, compact camera bodies. |
Stylus VG-190 This model boasts a 16 megapixel CCD sensor, a high-capacity flash and HD movie functionality. It also features a 26mm wide angle and 5x optical zoom lens. Stylus TG-2 Tough |
In his speech at the event, Kenichiro Mori, the newly appointed Managing Director of Olympus India said, “Much has been said of India being a price sensitive country.
