Olympus has officially announced two new compact D-cams.
The new flagship of the SZ series- SZ-30MR features a 1/2.3-inch 16MP backlit CMOS image sensor, 4.5-108mm (25-600mm equivalent) 11-in-10 zoom lens supported by mechanical (sensor-shift) image stabilization system and 3.0-inch TFT LCD monitor.
The camera also offers extensive, AE and AF programs including face detection and allows manual selections as the photographer desires. The SZ-30MR comes in two colors of silver or black and will hit the shelves of local dealers late April, expectedly selling for around 45K yen (US$530) on the street.
The Tough TG-810 is the topnotch model of the Tough series cameras and characterized by its GPS function and utmost shock and water-resistant performance. The camera also works 10m underwater. This new model features a 14MP CCD image sensor, 5-25mm (28-140mm equivalent), 11-in-8 zoom lens supported by sensor-shift image stabilization system and 3.0inch TFT LCD monitor.
The TG-810 comes in two colors of silver or black and will hit the shelves of local dealers late March, expectedly selling for around 43K yen (US$505) on
the street.
