Sony announced a group of new Cyber-shot compact cameras to be available in the market.
The Cyber-shot DSC-WX50 has a 1/2.3-inch 16.2 MP backlit CMOS sensor with a maximum ISO of 12800 equivalent, Vario-Tessar 25-125mm equivalent F2.6-6.3 zoom lens and 2.7-inch 460K-dot LCD monitor. The camera is expected to retail at around 25K yen (US$310). The Cyber-shot W630 is a new entry-level camera featuring 1/2.3-inch 16.1MP CCD image sensor, 360-degree Swing Panorama program, Vario-Tessar 25-125mm equivalent F2.6-6.3 zoom lens that mechanical image stabilisation system and 2.7-inch 230K-dot LCD monitor.
