Huawei Y9 Smartphone Launched in India

January 11, 2019 by Andrea Rodrigues

Huawei has announced the launch of its entry-level flagship phone, Huawei Y9 2019. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch notched FullView Display screen with a 3D curved design. It has a 16.7 million colour IPS LCD, with a contrast ratio of 1500:1, 2340 x 1080 resolution and 397 PPI. Y9 also supports TÜV Rheinland-certified Eye Comfort Mode for reducing blue light and digital strain on the eyes.

Equipped with a 4000 mAh battery and the high-performance 12nm Kirin 710 chipset, the Huawei Y9 provides excellent power efficiency. It also supports smart power consumption optimisation for comprehensive energy-saving technology, with one-touch battery optimisation and suspension to inactive programs to improve standby time to several days.

You can also create hardware-level bokeh effects with the Huawei Y9’s 16MP+2MP front dual camera and 13MP+2MP rear dual camera, supporting AI intelligent scenario identification and optimisation. The front 16MP f/2.0 camera utilises Pixel 4-in-1 intelligent algorithm to create beautiful selfies even in low-light or backlighting conditions. The rear camera works with the f/1.8 aperture that increases light source by 50 percent compared to f/2.2, creating stunning and clear pictures even in low-light environments.

AI stabilisation and hand-held Night Mode help support up to 6 seconds long exposure to capture all the details and adjust the brightness in the low-light environments. Also featured is AI 3D lighting to help create different effects such as soft lighting, stage lighting, butterfly lighting and split lighting. The PDAF fast-focusing technology further helps analyse the object and adjust the shutter speed, enabling users to capture the most exciting and beautiful moments anytime with their devices.

The Huawei Y9 will be available in two colours, Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue. It will be available online exclusively on Amazon.in from 15 January, midnight onwards. Priced at Rs.15,990, the device will be available with a limited period bundle offer on Amazon.in, with ‘Boat ROCKERZ 255 SPORTS Bluetooth hands-free’ worth Rs.2,990 for free.
