After covering major news events in India for the past four decades, he has started focussing on fine art photography. ‘Urban Reflections’ is a result of Mhatre’s journeys through Mumbai to chronicle how the city has changed under the impact of globalization and economic liberalization. The aim was to capture the city far from its stereotypical images and give the city a touch of fine art photography. Chandu Mhatre’s fine art prints exhibition, ‘Urban Reflections’ will be held on March 13 and 23, 2015 at the Arpana Caur Gallery at Academy of Fine Arts and Literature, New Delhi.
