On September 19, Nikon announced the world’s first waterproof and shockproof interchangeable lens camera, the Nikon 1 AW1. The camera can be used upto15 meters underwater, works upto -10 degrees Celsius and is shockproof from a fall of two metres. It features a 14.2 megapixel CX-format CMOS sensor and an EXPEED 3A image processing engine. It has an ISO range of 160 to 6400, a superfast and extremely responsive Advanced Hybrid Autofocus system, a continuous shooting frame rate of15fps and 60 fps when the focus is locked.
