Kenko-Tokina has bought French filter maker Cokin. Cokin’s parent company went into administration in November 2010, with supplies of the company’s products becomingly increasingly scarce.
The Japanese lens and accessory maker stated that they would retain the square filter specialist as an independent company, rather than just utilizing the well-recognized brand-name. With this acquisition, the companies intend to expand their services and bring to the flourishing photographic accessory market their expertise and enthusiasm.
