Nikon is set to release the AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G, which is specially designed for close-up photography Retailing from the mid of this month, the lens offers a picture angle equivalent to 60mm on full-frame format digital SLRs.
It features a Nikon’s Silent Wave Motor and measures 68.5 x 64.5mm.
As per the company spokesperson, it’s an affordable way to discover the world of macro photography and is even versatile enough to be used for other photographic styles also. The AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G will retail at £250 (€290).
