Lens makers, Tamron, have disclosed the world’s smallest and lightest, all-in-one zoom lens for APS-C format cameras.
The lens, 18-270mm F3.5-6.3 Di II VC boasts of a 15X zooming ratio (28-400mm equivalent) and measures 88mm in length and 74.4mm in diameter, weighing merely 450g.
The lens termed the second 60th anniversary model, following the SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USP, adopts a piezoelectric-driven ultrasonic motor for implementing the AF mechanism and “VC” image stabilization.
The Nikon and Canon models are list-priced at 84,000 yen (US$988) and hit the shelves of local dealers on December 20th.
